AADOCR NSRG -  Secretary Candidate

Reasons for Running

As an internationally trained dentist pursuing a Ph.D. in dental school, I aspire to become the inaugural NSRG representative for globally educated dentists embarking on research careers within AADOCR/IADR. My academic journey has underscored the importance of intertwining our profession with social obligations, like disseminating awareness and broadening one's knowledge of the field. My Ph.D. research has equipped me with invaluable problem-solving skills and to employ efficient methodologies using scientific reasoning.
I have actively shared these insights with dental students, international dentists, and fellow Ph.D. students, within my institution and the Southeast B region. My roles as the Graduate student representative at UFCD Student Research Group and the NSRG Regional Representative have enabled me to serve as a conduit for these lessons.

Drawing on these experiences, I aspire to serve as the NSRG Secretary. Beyond my primary responsibilities, I aim to recruit internationally trained dentists pursuing advanced education in the United States and graduate students to NSRG. I intend to bolster our dental research community through NSRG sessions and webinars. The path to higher education is often arduous, and I firmly believe that advancing our studies through research is pivotal in realizing our aspirations within the realms of dental academia.
