The Geriatric Oral Research Group (GORG) offers awards that aim to foster research in geriatric oral health among students and investigators.

Eligibility
  • Applicants may be IADR members or non-members.
  • Previous winners cannot compete on the same category, but can compete in a different category if they are eligible
  • Applicants can only apply in one category at a time.

For the IADR GORG Award Poster Competition, we invite students and junior investigators to apply according to the criteria below.

The Jonathan Ship Award is reserved for dental or dental hygiene student candidates, or their equivalent, who have not graduated yet from their respective programs.

The IADR GORG Pre-doctoral Award supported by GC Corporation, is reserved for candidates with an oral health or related degree, including DHYG (or equivalent), DDS/DMD/BDS (or equivalent), MD (or equivalent), and include junior faculty members and academics.

The IADR GORG Post-doctoral Award supported by GC Corporation, is reserved for those in pursuit of, or already have, a research doctorate degree at a PhD (or equivalent) or post-doctoral levels, and may already have a DDS, BDS, MD, or DMD (or equivalent). Individuals who are university faculty members must be instructors or assistant professors (or equivalent mid-career faculty rank within 5 years of the first appointment).
