The Kuwaiti Division was established in 2001 to promote research in all aspects of oral and related sciences, to encourage development of improved methods for prevention and treatment of oral and dental diseases, and to facilitate training and cooperation among investigators; and to communicate research findings and their implications especially in Kuwait and in the Gulf region.

Any individual, without any consideration of color, race, religion, age, gender, national or ethnic origin, or disability, who is interested in Dental Science and Dental Research shall be eligible for membership in this Association, as set forth in the Bylaws, provided such person conforms to the recognized standards of professional ethics.
Announcement: On April 29, 2024, the annual Divisional Hatton Award competition took place. With the presence of distinguished guests including the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Rashid Alazmi, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Mai Al Khalaf, the Vice Dean for Research, Dr. Fawaz Alzouby, and the Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs, Dr. Jaber Akbar, alongside faculty members of the College of Dentistry, Kuwait University, and representatives from the Kuwaiti Board Institute.

For their research titled "Identification of Novel Genes Involved in the Virulence of Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans by Random Transposon Mutagenesis,"
Runner-Up Group:
Yousif Alhasan & Abdulaziz Alosaimi
Their research, "The Effect of Probiotics on Biofilm Formation and Transcription of Virulence-Associated Genes in Low-Abundance Oral Bacteria," demonstrated meticulous investigation and promising findings in addressing oral health challenges.
