Dr Arash Rudman (DDS, MPH, PhD, G.Cert. (Higher Ed.), FHEA, FICD) is a Senior Lecturer in Population Oral Health at the University of Sydney and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide.
Dr Rudman’s academic work spans curriculum leadership, applied research, and interdisciplinary teaching in population oral health. As Theme Leader for Prevention and Health Promotion, one of the Sydney Dental School’s seven core teaching themes, he has led curriculum development across the Doctor of Dental Medicine program and contributed to the collaborative redesign of the Master of Dental Public Health curriculum. He also serves as Research Coordinator for Doctor of Clinical Dentistry specialties at the School of Dentistry.
Dr Rudman's research focuses on evidence-informed policy, oral health services, digital oral health literacy, and inequality. He is experienced in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research, having published in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented at major national and international conferences. Dr Rudman contributes to the profession through editorial and governance roles. He serves on the editorial boards of BMC Oral Health and JDR Clinical and Translational Research, and is Treasurer and an Executive Committee Member of the International Association for Dental Research Australia and New Zealand Division.
