Her current research project aims to investigate the competence of dental students across India in performing simple dental procedures such as fabrication of complete dentures, tooth restorations, and tooth extractions. This research is crucial for evaluating the quality of dental care provided by aspiring dentists in India, thereby contributing to the enhancement of oral health standards and overall quality of life.
The David B. Scott Fellowship is traditionally awarded annually to one dental student in one IADR Division and will rotate among the Divisions. It is the Division's responsibility to select the recipient by any method it devises, but the Division must present the candidate's name and the proposal for his or her research experience to the IADR Board for approval. The David B. Scott Fellowship is funded at US$2,500 and is awarded in 2024 in the IADR Indian Division.
