Alexandria, VA, USA – The International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR) has announced three recipients of the 2024 IADR LION Dental Research Award. The recipients were recognized during the Opening Ceremonies of the 102nd General Session of the IADR, which was held in conjunction with the 53rd Annual Meeting of the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research and the 48th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research, on March 13-16, 2024, in New Orleans, LA.
The recipients are:
- Andrea Escalante Herrera University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada Salivary Research
- Luis Limo Western University, London, Ontario, Canada Oral Health Research
- Yuqi Ma The University of Hong Kong, SAR, China Periodontal Research
The LION Dental Research Award is intended to support improvements in oral health sciences through the stimulation of junior researchers by recognition of outstanding and innovative research in basic dental science for the improvement of public dental health, and recognition of applied research achievements for improvement and development of oral care products for the prevention or oral diseases. The award is made possible by a generous donation from the LION Corporation, Tokyo, Japan.
