IADR Saudi Arabian Division

About

The Saudi Arabian Division of the IADR

The Saudi Arabian Division of the IADR has played a pivotal role in fostering dental research within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Initially established as the Saudi Arabia Section in 1993 by Professor Abdullah Alshammery, a prominent figure in restorative dentistry and academic leadership, the section aimed to cultivate a robust research culture in the region. In 2014, this section was elevated to a full-fledged division, reflecting its growth and the increasing engagement of Saudi researchers in the global dental research community.

The division actively participates in regional and international dental events, and engaged in significant collaborations. The division signed memorandums of understanding with several organizations and universities, aiming to enhance research activities and professional development opportunities for its members.

Through these initiatives, the IADR Saudi Arabian Division continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of dental research and the promotion of oral health in Saudi Arabia and the broader Gulf region.
