IADR Anthony Rizzo Award

The Periodontal Research group of the IADR makes an annual award in recognition of the contribution to Periodontal Research by Dr Anthony Rizzo. The award is made is to recognize younger investigators in the field of periodontology who are still in the early phase of their academic/research career.

Candidates should be:

• Under 40 years of age.
• Not holding a full professorship or chairmanship or have been a
faculty member for more than 7 years.
• Winners would not be eligible for the competition again although unsuccessful candidates could reapply the following year.
• Contribution to research would be predominantly in periodontal biological
and/or clinical research.

Nominations for this award can be made by anyone but MUST include the following:

• A recommendation/ nomination letter which confirms the above listed 'candidate criteria'.
• The candidate's Curriculum Vitae together with 5 copies of 5 representative manuscripts.
• Nominations should reach the committee secretary before December 15.
